BRIDAL ALTERATIONS
If you have a designer wedding dress that needs to be altered, you’ve come to right place. Brittanie Cline, founder and master seamstress has been tailoring wedding dresses since 2007. Throughout her years of experience, she has directly worked with gowns from surrounding bridal shops such as A&BE Bridal Shop, Amy’s Bridal, Blueberry Bridal, BB Bridal, Manor House, and The White Dress Bridal Boutique. Her expertise is not limited to gowns found at these shops. Similarly, she has experience altering wedding dresses from designers such as Stella York, Maggie Sottero, Willoby by Waters, Badgley Mischka, Chic Nostalgia, and Allure. Certainly, her 17 years of experience is not limited to these wedding dress designers. Above all, she has a background in altering a variety of fit problems such as: hems that are too long, bodices too big or too small, straps, bustles, and lastly steaming.
HOW WEDDING DRESS ALTERATIONS WORK
SCHEDULE FITTING
Even if you don’t have your wedding dress yet, it is important to reserve your alterations appointment early. Chances are that your wedding dress will need some alterations. To schedule, simply schedule your appointment here. As always, if you need assistance, don’t hesitate to text us at 208-696-1155. We accept wedding dress alterations in Ketchum, Hailey, Twin Falls, Mountain Home and areas surrounding Sun Valley, but are also available for travel. Generally, fittings are done at our little office just 35 minutes outside of Ketchum, Idaho.
THE DETAILS
Also, we specialize in helping put your look together with additional details such as custom veils, over skirts, and detachable trains. While we specialize in alterations, if you need something more for undergarments such as a petticoat or bustier, we can help with that too! Simply inquire those additional options if that is something you need assistance with.
FITTINGS
While fittings can take anywhere from 2-4 fittings to find the perfect fit, they don’t take very long. Anticipate about 45 minutes for each alterations appointment, and 60 minutes for your final fitting to leave room for touch ups. Be sure to save yourself a trip to the tailor by bringing your shoes to your first fitting, especially if you need a hem or bustle.
WEDDING DAY
Finally, on your wedding day, you’ve found the perfect fit. We want to let you in on a few tips for your wedding day. Due to the shape of some trains, you might forget where all of the bustling points go on the day of. Be sure to bring one close friend who will be there with you the day of to your final fitting. Keep in mind our little cottage is best for you to bring just you and one other friend. Also, we do on site steaming, dressing assistance, and bustling, so if you need us there on the day, we can be!
